Our story

2017-2018

We were diligently working to make ourselves better. But it was in 2018, we moved on to dye extracts and started researching newer sustainable sources, including bacteria.

2018-2020

These three years we laboured to improve our products to make them compatible with the pre-existed dyeing machineries.

2020-2023

During this time, we were featured in "Fashion for Good" for their 2022 Asia Innovation Programme, and our R&D programme is being incubated at the University of Delhi. why we do

For fashion brands, embracing natural dyes is no longer optional but essential. Reports indicate that the fashion industry contributes 8-10% of global carbon emissions, with dyeing processes accounting for at least 50% of these emissions. Synthetic and Azo dyes, known to be carcinogenic and endocrine disruptors, also cause skin issues. In contrast, natural dyes are predominantly derived from waste materials, resulting in a significantly lower carbon footprint—approximately 40-50% less. They prevent effluents from entering water bodies, reducing water treatment costs by up to 80%. Furthermore, natural dyes are non-toxic, hypoallergenic, renewable, and biodegradable, benefiting both the environment and rural farmers. Notably, the production of 1kg of natural indigo supports employment for 2 rural farmers and promotes a healthier ecosystem.
